So Proud!

Tyler FINALLY graduated from BYU-I on Thursday! He received his Bachelors degree in Automotive Technology Management. We are so proud of him! He has worked very hard and is thrilled to be done. Now, we just need to find him a job!

Family Reunion 2009

This year our family reunion was at Stoddard Creek. Amy found this great campsite just outside the Stoddard Creek campground. We were only able to do it for a couple days but it was still really fun. Plus, it only rained on us a little this time! Matt and Amy were in charge this year and they did a great job! The theme was "Survivor" and we had some really fun challenges. However, we did not get to vote anyone off the campground. (okay there wasn't anyone I'd want to vote off!) We had great food and of course great company! I can't wait to do it again next year!

Fat & Happy

Linkon is getting SO BIG! He now weighs 12 1/2 pounds! Which means he has gained 5 pounds in 5 weeks! He also started smiling this week, the pictures aren't that great because he would get distracted by the camera. Anyway, here he is, fat and happy and loving life!

The Next Best Thing

Tyler and I have kind of been looking at houses just to get an idea of whats out there so we'll know what we want when it comes time to buy one. But lately we have been getting nervous about him being able to find a job when he graduates in July so we decided that the next best thing to buying a new house is to just fix ours up a bit. This way if we end up staying here another year or two I won't go crazy and if we get lucky and find a job and can get into a new house, ours will be ready to sell! When we bought the house the living room was painted this weird purple color which is fine, but not really my taste so after hearing me complain for 4 years Tyler finally painted it for me. Then we had our brother-in-law come and replace all the flooring in the living room, kitchen, dining area and guest bathroom. He gave us a really good deal and we are so grateful! We absolutely love it! The only problem is that now we are paranoid about Jaxon getting crumbs on the new carpet! But I figure it's bound to happen sooner or later so there is no point in stressing too much, right?

Here is a picture of Linkon (top) and Jaxon (bottom), They are about the same age in these pictures. I just thought it would be fun to compare them. I would love to hear what you all think, do they look alike? Are they more Barnes or Campbell? Let me rephrase that last one, which one looks more like Tyler? Let me know!

Jaxon loves to hold Linkon's hand and lay by him. All day he asks to hold Linkon and lay down by him. I like to think its because he loves him so much but I'm pretty sure attention might have something to do with it too!

So my induction went great on Monday! Oh, except a little drop in my blood pressure due to a reaction from the epidural and I thought I was going to die. But other then that everything went perfectly! I started on PIT at noon, my water was broke at one and Linkon was here at 7:53 pm. He is perfect and healthy and we are so exited to have him here! Jaxon is slowly adjusting. He is suddenly very cuddly and clingy but he's doing fine. I am doing great and I am also slowly adjusting to juggling two kids. My family has helped me a lot. My sisters have been here a ton and they have been wonderful! I am so blessed to have such wonderful family close by to help me.

Save a Different Date

So this morning I woke up at 5, got showered, made sure everything was packed, got Jaxon's things all ready to go, and the whole time I had this weird feeling that I was not going to have my baby today. Then at ten to six I called the hospital just to make sure they had room for me. They told me that they had a really busy night but they would call me back in a few hours and they would probably have room then. Teresa had taken work off and her and Dad were going to come watch Jaxon for the day so I called them and told them the situation. Then I went back to sleep. My phone rang at about 8:30 and it was the hospital. Before I even said "hello" I was out of bed and started getting dressed, thinking they were calling to say "come on in!" Anyway they said that they were just too full and they had other inductions that were more urgent then mine so I was rescheduled for Monday morning. Anyway, I was really disappointed but there was part of me that was relieved! Weird, I know. The best part of this is that Amy will be here tomorrow so she will get to be here when he is born. So that's where we are, sorry it was such a long story. I guess I could have just said: the hospital was too full so my induction has been rescheduled. Oh well, there it is, the whole long story!

Save the Date

It's official! Baby #2 will be here on May 15th. (Unless he decides to come sooner which would be fine be me!) My midwives are all going to be gone the week I am due so rather then be delivered be someone I haven't met with we have opted to be induced on the 15th. I am trying to pace myself and not get too anxious but at the same time remind myself that 2 weeks is not very far away. We still don't have a name picked out. Not only do we not have one picked out, but we don't really even have an idea of a name. So if you've got a good one let me know! Anyway, that's where we are right now. Hopefully everything will continue to go smoothly and please remember us in your prayers on the 15th!

Jaxon's Favorite Place

Jaxon loves to play outside at my parent's house. He can't really play in our yard because there's just no where for him to go except the road. So, on the few nice days we've had this year, we like to go out to Menan. The park is fun but it doesn't have cows and horses, tractors and four wheelers, or Grandpa! Jaxon especially loves to "help" Grandpa in his shop. Probably because that's where all the cool tools and Tyler's snow machine are. Thanks Dad and Teresa for having animals and living in such a fun place! It was the perfect place to grow up and I am so grateful that my kids get to play there too!

Baby South

He's here! Emily had her baby on Thursday the 26th. He decided to come three and a half weeks early and as a result Em had to have a c-section and the baby landed himself in the NICU but the doctors say he is looking good and so far seems to be doing pretty good considering he's so early. They expect him to be there for at least a couple days though. He weighed in at 5 lbs 15 oz and measured 18.5 inches. He is so tiny and beautiful! Last I heard they hadn't quite decided on a name yet. Emily is doing really good. She is hoping to be home with baby before Monday!

Tribute to Stratton

This is for Amy. The boys do this sometimes when they start to miss Stratton. They take turns ripping them from each others mouths and they seem to get their Stratton fix for a while. Okay I'm just kidding. They only had them long enough for me to snap a quick picture but I still thought of Strat.

Flea Market

Okay, just wanted to let everyone know that Some Guy's Flea Market is having its last event this Saturday in the Hinkley building from 10 am to 2 pm. This will be the biggest event yet with more vendors and a BBQ. Also the BYU-I Outdoor Recreation Center will be there selling a lot of their stuff like snowboards, boots, climbing gear, and other outdoor equipment. I don't like to spend money but it's something fun to do in Rexburg!

Some Guy's Flea Market

Okay, so for Tyler's IBC class this semester his "company" is doing a flea market. They have already had 2 and they are really great! Its like a huge indoor garage sale but way better! There is a man there that sells the most incredible fudge in the world! I go just for that! There are people selling fresh salsa and jam, boy scouts selling cinnamon rolls, baby turtles for sale, snow shack is there, sub zero is there, and a ton of other services and items for sale. I'm raving about this just because Tyler is doing it but it really does have some great stuff. Anyway there are only two more. The next one is on the 21st at the Hinckley building from 10 to 2 so if you're in town you should check it out!


Even Jaxon loves to go! He wanted to wear Tyler's shirt this morning and I thought it would be a cute advertisement!
