Some Guy's Flea Market

Okay, so for Tyler's IBC class this semester his "company" is doing a flea market. They have already had 2 and they are really great! Its like a huge indoor garage sale but way better! There is a man there that sells the most incredible fudge in the world! I go just for that! There are people selling fresh salsa and jam, boy scouts selling cinnamon rolls, baby turtles for sale, snow shack is there, sub zero is there, and a ton of other services and items for sale. I'm raving about this just because Tyler is doing it but it really does have some great stuff. Anyway there are only two more. The next one is on the 21st at the Hinckley building from 10 to 2 so if you're in town you should check it out!


Even Jaxon loves to go! He wanted to wear Tyler's shirt this morning and I thought it would be a cute advertisement!

Boom Boom Pow!

Tyler was listening to this song one day and Jaxon Loved it! Whenever it comes on he can't control himself and just HAS to dance! The song is "Boom Boom Pow" by the Black Eyed Peas, you can't hear it very good but it's still a great dance video! And yes that is the speaker he's holding up to his ear. Apparently the music is never loud enough! What can I say? He's is definitely Tyler's son!

Its a Boy!

That's right! We're having another little boy! We're so excited for Jaxon to have a little brother to play with! My sister Emily is also having another boy so we now have enough for a basketball team! Our goal is to have enough boys for a football team and at this rate we'll reach it in no time! We tried to get a picture of his face but the little stinker wouldn't cooperate. But we did get to see all the important things and everything looks really good!

16 PEOPLE, A CABIN, & THE FLU

While Amy and Matt were here we decided we should rent a cabin and spend a weekend playing in the snow. So we found this perfect cabin on Henry's lake. We loaded up all the snowmachines and our snow clothes and packed a ton of food. We were all so excited for a fun little weekend getaway! The night before we left Stratton was up all night puking. We hoped and pretended it was just something he ate. So Friday afternoon we all head up. And when I say all I mean: Tyler, me, Jaxon, Amy, Matt, Stratton, Emily, Nate, Samuel, my Dad, Teresa, Bridger, his girlfriend Hailey, Lyn, her fiance Rhett, and Desi. By Friday night Jaxon started throwing up. But nobody else was sick do we thought maybe is was something that just Strat and Jax ate. Saturday was a fun day full of snowmachining, digging out stuck snowmachines, towing broken down snowmachines, and of course lots of games. This was also the night Nate got a little frost bite on his checks. He had been out for a long time helping his brother get a sled unstuck and when he got back his checks were white and iced over. Luckily a little cold water and tender love from Emily fixed him right up. This is were the weekend gets really fun! Saturday night as we were all getting into bed Bridger says he's feeling pretty sick. We all start to panic a bit knowing now that the flu is among us. Sure enough by about 3 am Bridger, Rhett and Matt were all taking turns running to the bathroom to throw up. And lucky me, our room was right next to the bathroom so Tyler and I got to hear it all! By Sunday morning Bridger's girlfriend Hailey was sick too. To add to our fun weekend Emily and Nate had to leave at 7am to get back to Menan for two baby blessings. They made it a few miles down the road when the gas in their pick up froze. (It was about -22 degrees) So they were stranded and freezing cold and there was no one to help because ironically enough Nate was the only one who got cell phone service at the cabin! After an hour or so they got it working and were able to make it back to the cabin. Those of us who were feeling up to it hurried and packed up and as soon as those who were sick felt like they could make it, we headed for home. By Monday morning I had the flu, dad had it, Teresa had it and Rhett's friend that stopped by for an hour had it! And later that night Amy got it. There were a few who were spared by this weekend-ruining plague: Des, Tyler, Lyn, Emily, Nate, and Samuel. Now let me remind you this is the second time in 9 months that we have had the flu when we're all together! It's no fun being sick but if you have to be, you might as well do it with family! It was not the most fun weekend but it is one I will not soon forget!

Rockband New Years Eve

We had a really fun New Years Eve party at Emily and Nate's house this year. There was lots of great food, the best company and of course, Rockband! The little boys had so much fun singing and dancing along with the very LOUD music! This year also brought me to a sad realization, I'm getting old. By 10 o'clock we were all asking what time it was and "how much longer?" A couple years ago I could have stayed up all night, no problem. But this year we were all ready to throw in the towel by 11. Now, here's the kicker. We must have got our second wind because we got to playing games and actually missed midnight! So we had our own little countdown and blew on our noise makers and then realizing how late it was we headed home.

CHRISTMAS!

We had a great Christmas this year! I was happy to have our family close since the weather made roads scary to drive on. We spent Christmas Eve with Tyler's dad and brother Ryan. I didn't want to cook so we decided to go to JB's. It was great! No cooking and no clean up after! Christmas morning we went to Tyler's dad' house and ate breatkfast with them. Then we headed out to Menan. The weather was perfect Christmas weather but the roads were really bad so it took some time to get there but eventually we made it! We ate dinner and enjoyed eachothers company. Then we came home and cuddled up in our cozy home!

Okay, We haven't done anything too exciting so I thought I'd just post a couple of random pictures. The first picture is from when Tyler was really sick a few weeks back. He had a really bad fever with chills and a terrible sore throat. I brought him a cold rag and put it on his head and Jaxon thought he would help by holding it there for Tyler. What a sweetheart! The second picture is of Jaxon giving himself a pedicure. He watched me file my toenails and then decided that his needed a bit of filing as well. We were able to go to Salt Lake last weekend for a work party and we went to Temple Square to see the lights. I hadn't been in years so it was really fun, it was also very very cold! Jaxon loved the lights and would "ooh" whenever he saw a new color!

Baby #2 is on the Way!

We are very happy to annouce that baby # 2 will be joining our family around May 22, 2009. Just in time for Tyler's, Bridger's and Teresa's birthdays! I thought I planned it pretty good! Jaxon of course doesn't have a clue but I'm sure, well I'm hoping he will be very happy to have someone to share my lap with! Don't bother asking what I think it is, I don't have a clue. I'll think its a girl but then I remember I thought Jaxon was a girl so then I think its a boy and we're back to square one! Anyway just wanted to let you all know! Also, sorry the picture is so blurry, our scanner is out of commision right now so I took a picture of the picture. Oh well, it will have to do for now!

Happy Birthday, Jaxon!!

Okay, so Jaxon's birthday isn't till Friday but we had a little party for him on Saturday. It was really fun. We had it at the park since our house is too small. Jaxon loves being outside so we thought it would be perfect. It was a beautiful day and perfect for playing at the park. We had lots of yummy desserts and enjoyed hanging out with family. Jaxon had a lot of fun with cousins but of course he didn't really care about the presents or the cake. Thanks again to everyone that came!

Family Camping Trip

This year's family camping trip was so much fun! Especially with three little boys in tow! We camped in Island Park right on the Buffalo River, it was beautiful. It is possibly my favorite camping spot ever. We ate lots of good food, had our own "camping olympics", fought off lots of wasps, and hid from the rain. Some of Emily's in-laws came up on Saturday for an awsome kickball game that was so much fun. The little boys loved digging in the dirt and fighting over Grandma's cool toys! Our second night there around 10:30 or 11 Jaxon learned how to throw the dirt in the air. He covered himself from head to toe in dirt but he was having so much fun I couldn't stop him! Tyler made Jaxon have a sponge bath though before he would let him in the sleeping bag. Sunday night and Monday were very very cold so we didn't do much but its always good to just be around family! One of the most memorable things that happened was when Nate ate a wasp. He was driving down the road in an off-road vehicle when a wasp hit him in the mouth and stung him about 5 times. When he got back his top lip was swollen so big we all thought it was a joke! None of us could stop laughing! We made him do funny things and say funny things while we all pointed and laughed some more. Nate was such a great sport though and laughed right along with us! Thanks Nate!
